Jennifer Lopez is busy. Her new rom-com, Office Romance, hits screens June 5. She’s winning.
Maybe that’s why an old flame is circling back. It’s not Ben Affleck this time.
It’s Alex Rodriguez.
According to Rob Shuter on his Substack, Naughty But Nice, the former Yankees star is trying to “reopen communication” with his ex-fiancée. They were involved from 2017 through 2021. It was messy. It was everywhere.
“Alex never fully got over Jennifer,” one source said. “The relationship meant everything to him.”
Once Rodriguez became single again, he couldn’t resist reaching out. Makes sense, in a twisted sort of way. Their split ended in a fashion only reality TV can provide: him sliding into Madison LeCroy’s DMs. You remember the scene. The Southern Charm season 7 reunion aired the receipts. It was spectacularly public.
Affleck swept in then. He still has good timing.
But back to Alex. An insider insists he doesn’t pretend the past didn’t happen. He just misses her. Claims there’s still a “tremendous amount of affection” lingering.
They’re both single now. The math works out conveniently. But is J.Lo interested?
Probably not.
She sat down with Jimmy Kimmel on May 27 and looked utterly relaxed. At 56, she says her solo life is fabulous. When Kimmel noted her single status, she didn’t play coy.
“I am,” she said. “I should have done it sooner.”
She laughed about it. Said she’d been doing love wrong for a while. Kimmel joked she could be the next Bachelorette lead on ABC.
“No,” she snapped back. “Are you crazy?”
She isn’t risking the vibe. She likes feeling good.
Meanwhile, Alex seems to have forgotten the lesson entirely. Mid-May in Manhattan, at a place called The Corner Store. Page Six says he was flirting like his life depended on it. “Highlight-reel moves,” their source called it. He allegedly collected phone numbers. Several of them.
That’s the guy trying to win her back?
J.Lo looks great alone. She looks great without the drama. Let her keep it that way.
Or let him text her. Who knows. She’s living in the moment right now. That’s all that matters. 🎶
